icelandic lily

With the Nordic Cool Festival being held at the Kennedy Center this month, I was inspired to break out my Icelandic sweater (peysur, pronounced pay-sir) for a modern interpretation on the warm knit (see here for a 70's take).  Decided to pair the boxier shape of the sweater with skinny jeans, black sneaker wedges, and sleek Derek Lam sunnies.  The look was complemented perfectly by a large metallic flower we found growing next to the Ronald Reagan Building.

On another note, I've officially graduated from tree-climbing to lily-climbing; a much more difficult endeavor.
